These little extras
The main task of your moisturizer is to repair the barrier function of the skin and help the skin to retain moisture. But it does not mean that the only thing that moisturizer can do for you. Often, manufacturers include antioxidants, vitamins, and other active nutrients in their formulations. So moisturizer will be a vehicle for delivering this to the skin.
I recommend that you use this and search for:
Green tea, see my post on green tea, why that matters.
Vitamin E is the main antioxidant that protects sebum.
Vitamin C makes vitamin E more effective when used together.
Acne-prone Dry Skin Face Moisturizer – Vitamin B3 (Nicotinamide / Niacin) is found in some studies as an effective moisturizer. Other studies have found that topical B3 is quite effective in treating acne.
Aloe vera or other antioxidants.
Ceramides are naturally occurring fats in the skin. Compared to healthy skin, the acne prone skin has less ceramides. So it might help to apply them in a moisturizer.
Natural oils and essential fatty acids. Some studies suggest that fatty acids (such as omega 3 and 6 and GLA) can calm inflammation in problem skin.
Do not be too obsessed with these things. You will not find a product with all in it. Vitamins B3 and E are probably the most important.
How to moisten – important!
How to Moisturize Dry Skin Face Moisturizer – How to moisturize is also important. Above, we talked about humectants and how they pull moisture into your skin. They can only draw moisture from the water in the skin. You can not draw moisture from the environment. For the best effect, moisturize immediately after showering and while your skin is still slightly moist. During the shower, water penetrates the skin and you want to lock it up with a moisturizer.

After a shower, dab your skin with a towel to get rid of excess water. Since your skin is still slightly moist, apply the moisturizer and wait until your skin is dry.
The first that I’m not able to write short blog posts, but I digress from. Anyway, dry skin. It happens due to damage to the skin’s barrier function allowing too much moisture to escape from the skin. Soap, harsh cleansers and acne medications are the most common cause of acne patients. The first step is to remove what is irritating your skin.

The next step is the moisture.
We’ve talked about how all moisturizers work more or less the same way, so the premium may not pay off well. Most acne sufferers are probably doing better with lighter water-based lotions than with heavier creams. Since your skin is probably already irritated, you should look for something that only minimally irritates. And if you can find something with vitamins B3 and E as extras, you have a winner.
And to make the most of your moisturizer, you need to use it properly. Apply the moisturizer immediately after showering and while your skin is still a bit wet.
